A Trip to Pingtung

During the 228 holidays, My family and I took a trip to Pingtung.  It has been a few years since we last traveled to Pingtung, and I felt really excited about this trip.

During the first day of our trip, we visited the Pingtung Tropical Agriculture Expo.  The exposition was featuring Piske and Usagi by Kanahei, which is really adorable.  When we got there, the first thing that caught my eyes were those beautiful floral seas. Flower bloomed in various color were planted on the field, which looked very colorful and brilliant. Even though some of the blooms had already wilted and lost their color, the floral seas were still stunning.  We also visited the melon shed, where various kinds of loofahs and pumpkins were grown. There were instruction boards indicating their names, so that we could recognize what kind of loofahs/pumpkins they were.  My mom also took some pictures of those loofahs, they all looked so adorable!

Then we went to see the beautiful orchids. The place with orchid was decorated very lovely. There were Alice-themed decorations inside, and also roses in glass bottles, which once showed up in the Disney film《Beauty and the Beast》. Definitely, my brother and I took some pictures there.  In the end, we collected stamps on the paper at the agricultural expo, and used them to exchange for commemorative Kanahei stickers. Our next stop was V.I.P ZONE, and there was a culture creative industry park. A lot of vendors were selling second-hand clothes or other cultural products. We saw a shop selling ice cream, and the ice cream was made in the shape of a puppy. My brother and I tried the mango and the chocolate ones, both were sweet and tasty.

On the next day, we were planning to visit Liangshan Waterfall. There was a hiking trail for tourists to enjoy the scenery while walking.  I also saw eleven caterpillars along the way, which made me feel that lives of nature were really awesome! The trail is about 1.2 kilometers far, I thought it was a little bit tiring but very worthwhile walking.

Our second destination was Neipu Liudui Hakka Cultural Park. Hakka cultures were introduced in the park, and also Hakka food were sold there.  We saw some poetry written in Hakka, as well as the examination papers left by Hakka people who had successfully passed the highest level of the Chinese imperial examinations.  I thought these commemorative things should really be well preserved, so that future generations can have a chance to see them.  After enjoyed our lunch there, we finally drove back home.  Although this trip was only two days short, I found it very fulfilling and interesting, and it really added some fun to my busy school days.
