A Trip to Miaoli and Hsinchu

We headed to Sheng-Hsing Train Station as our first destination.  Sheng-Hsing Train Station is a historical train station in Miaoli, and tourists can take photos and ride rail bikes there.  My family and I bought tickets for two cars, one for my grandparents and my father, and one for my mother, my younger brother and me.  We also visited Sheng-Hsing Old Street. In the old street, there were Hakka restaurants and a lot of vendors selling sticky rice and Lei-Cha . We also tried the stinky tofu there. I heard that the store which sells sticky tofu is really famous, and there are always  people lining up in a queue for buying it.

In the evening, we went to Zhuo-Ye cottage to check in.  We had dinner at the restaurant in the resort, and the food was very delicious. All of my family and I liked it very much.  The scenery through the window of the cottage was also extremely beautiful and amazing. There was a bamboo forest outside the window of our bathroom, and a pond was outside the window of my grandparents’ cottage. What's more, even geese can be seen swimming in the pond.

During the winter vacation, my family and I went on a trip to Miaoli and Hsinchu.  After 3 hours driving, we finally arrived in Miaoli.

The next morning, we went to DAHU Wine Resort. Strawberries are definitely the most famous fruits in Dahu. Winter is the season of strawberries, and all of the food there were made of strawberries, including drinks, ice cream, sausages, etc... For those who love strawberries, DAHU Wine Resort is just like a heaven.  I tried the strawberry milk there, and the milk was rich in the flavor of the strawberries that I thought it tasted really great.  Next, we went to the Shui-Niu Cheng Barbecue area in Miaoli.  We had our lunch there, and saw many animals were raising in the area. There were chickens, peacocks and goats.

After leaving Shui-Niu Cheng, we visited Beipu Old Street in Hsinchu.  There were a lot of vendors selling delicious food in Beipu Old Street, and Lei-Cha is the one that impressed me the most.  I rarely had the opportunity to see Lei-Cha before. I tried a cup of Lei-Cha and felt that the taste was very special.  Finally, we arrived at UNI-Resort Mawudu and spent our second night there. We chilled at our hotel rooms and all of us had a good time.

On the third day, we can't choose but  changed our schedule because it started to rain in the morning.  We decided to head to Neiwan Old Street as our last destination.  In the old street, we bought some food for our lunch and then drove back to Tainan.  The trip was really fulfilling, and I enjoyed spending time staying with my family and relaxing myself.
