My First Experience of Snorkeling
Three years ago in June, my parents, my younger brother, and I took a trip to Kenting. As for the reason why I mentioned the thing that has been such a long time ago, it is because the memory is a very important experience for me, and it is almost impossible for me to forget it.
It was my first time going snorkeling, and it was my parents who arranged to go snorkeling during our trip. Thus, we went to a place called“水到魚行” and it was the place where we are going to having our snorkeling.
At first, I felt kinda nervous but also excited too. It is because I'm new to something that I've never tried before, and I can't wait to see what snorkeling is like. As soon as we arrived there, the staff member asked us to remove all the make-up and sunscreen on our face. She said that we can't bring these things with us while we are snorkeling in the sea. I was wearing sunscreen, so I immediately washed my face there. Then, she asked us to put on those snorkeling equipment, and she gave each of us a mask and a snorkel. Then, our coach came to us, and he took us to the beach where we are going to have our snorkeling, and prepared to enter the water. As soon as my feet stepped into the sea, I felt the chill of the water, which made me feel a little bit nervous. However, the thought of wondering how beautiful the submarine world had dispelled all my fears.
The coach also said that he would take pictures for all of us, so he asked me to take off the snorkel and take pictures in the water. I did the same thing as he said. As a result, when I was about to put on the snorkel, I accidentally drank some sea water. The water from the sea was so salty that I felt really uncomfortable. The coach also joked that I don't need to add any salt for my dinner today.
Eventually, we drew our trip to a perfect end. When I was about to exit the water, I was still reluctant to leave. People always gain the most impressive memory when they first try something that they have never done before. This trip was a unique experience for me, and I hope to go snorkeling again in the future.
The coach led us to the place where there were a lot of fish, and I saw various colorful small fish swimming around us. Sometimes, seaweeds floating in the sea will touch my body, that feeling was quite interesting! The sun shone through the surface of the sea, and shone into the deeper sea. I saw the golden waves light into our eyes with the undulate of the waves. I was amazed by the stunning views under the sea, the thing that came to my heart was the awe of nature. It was my honor to see this kind of magnificent scenery!
